Business Development Consultant (BDC)
The Oracle Graduate Program is a combination of structured sales development programs focused on soft skills and functional competencies via various delivery formats designed to help you achieve a successful technology sales career.
We are currently offering graduate placement opportunities within our Business Development Generation (DDG) Group which is the key entry point in the organization for a sales opportunity at Oracle. It is the demand generation engine for Oracle in APAC and provides revenue generating, quality sales pipeline to our sales organization.

Business Development Consultant (BDC) is the primary gateway into a digital sales career at Oracle, the most respected and successful enterprise Technology Company in the world.
BDCs nurture and maintain successful relationships with Oracle customers. This is a sales “hunting” role and includes engagements companies and organizations of all sizes, complexities and needs. You will work with key internal stakeholders and groups - including sales & product managers, industry sales directors, marketing and partner sales. You would be responsible for identifying, uncovering and qualifying opportunities to support sales account strategies and solution based growth.
Successful candidates will be executing effective sales campaigns at specific customer and prospect audiences. Ultimately BDCs are responsible for a significant proportion of the pipeline development for sales.
We expect all BDCs in 1.5 to 2 years to progress into digital sales after demonstrating solid development, performance and results in hunting, solution knowledge, sales skills and customer engagement (C-Level, LOBs, etc.).
Key Responsibilities
This role is primarily phone and internet-based and you must be comfortable with cold-calling and social selling. You will be required to work with customers to understand and meet their needs whilst achieving pipeline generation targets. Successful candidates are typically highly motivated and ambitious individuals who wish to launch successful careers in enterprise technology sales.
•Achieve call, revenue and conversion KPIs
•Research prospective customer and make contact via phone, email and social channels
•Build rapport with customers to problem solve challenges and recommend Oracle products
•Work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver leads generated
Selection Criteria
The Oracle APAC Graduate Program 2019 is open to students who are either in their final semester of their undergraduate studies (finishing all course requirements by June 2019) or have graduated in near half year. Our program is open to students from all disciplines who are interested in IT and solution sales.
Job Requirements
•Ability to understand customer's industry and core business processes and identify problems in their infrastructure which can be resolved with enterprise Technology solutions
•An ability to persuasively articulate Oracle’s value proposition and key differentiators
•Integrate with both inside sales representatives and field sales account managers to develop go-to-market and account strategies
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all audience levels, including C-level, executive, technical and line of business heads
•Ability to work in a team environment
•Previous sales experience (non I.T. related will be considered)
•Willingness to work in a fast-moving, dynamic and team-oriented environment
•Attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
•Ability to meet ambitious deadlines and deliver high-quality work on schedule
•Enterprise software/hardware knowledge a plus
•Minimum of Undergraduate degree preferred
